Don’t Drink … Gamble

If you prefer to take an alcoholic beverage every so often, keep your money at home if you plan to do your drinking in a brick and mortar betting house. I’m not joking. clean out your billfold, your money belt, and keep all money, credit cards and cheques at home. Take whatever cash you intend to spend on drinks, tipping and whatever loose change you plan on loosing and leave the rest behind.

Contemptuous? Not at all. Practical really. You might well experience a success after a drunken night out with your buddies and be lucky enough to hit a marathon roll at a smokin’ craps table. Hold on to that adventure because it is as short-lived as it gets if you continually drink and wager. The two just don’t mix.

Leaving your money at home is a little dramatic, however precautionary measures for dramatic actions is relative and necessary. If you gamble to succeed, then don’t consume alcohol and play. If you can afford to throw away your cash without a second thought, then consume all the no cost booze your stomach can handle, but don’t take bank cards and chequebooks to throw into the combination of going after losses once your drunk as a skunk brain squanders everything!
